What is the purported reason for his imprisonment? Where was he taken into custody, and under what circumstances. Curious to know.

Look up David Hicks on Wikipedia.Yes the U.S. needs to work on how to deal with terrorists, but to make this guy the poster boy is ludicrous. He was Taliban and Al Queda all the way, looking to kill Americans.
He was just one of those fun loving Aussies looking to impose Sharia law on the rest of humanity.

There has been no evidence about Hicks and Al quaeda. Of course there hasn't... he hasn't been brought to trial has he?

David is an Australian citizen held at Guantanamo Bay for 5 years (today) without charge by the American army.
Our government refuses to do anything to assist his position.
