Hello! And thanks for trying. The server and site there are an amateur nonprofit one, so half of the traffic is for Russia only. No, it is not Frijid Pink, I have already checked it, though their (FP) version is awesome, indeed. But it is bluesy and somewhat uneven, rough. Very much like Geordie. The version I am seeking to identify is closer to a ballad style like Whiter Shade of Pale by Procol Harum or Belladonna by UFO. If You really have patience and interest, I can send it to You as an attachement in e-mail.

  I did a google search and found a review of an album full of House of the Rising Sun remakes called "Best Little Whorehouse in Guterslosh". It has the following songlist:

  The review goes on to say there are literaly thousands of remakes of this tune. I didn't realize there were so many. I would be interested to hear the version you have if you want to send it.
