I'm headed there for The Greyboy Allstars on the Friday night before NYE. Tickets are general admission so I'm hoping for a wide open space in front of the stage. I'd hate the thought of fixed seating for a Karl Denson performance since I'm sure it'll be a "get down with your bad self" kind of show.Also, please tell me there's a bar! :-)

The best picture is the upper right picture from the link below. For general admission shows, the folding chairs on the floor and the promenade (the level up the stairs from the floor in front of the stadium seats) are removed. The stadium seats in the back are permanent. At a complete GA show, one can choose to stand or grab a stadium seat, or roam between the two. But the seats get taken pretty quickly. A partial GA show means the floor and promenade are open, but the stadium seats are reserved. A full reserved show has the aforementioned folding chairs. If you have a GA ticket it is certain that the floor will be open. The Nokia has three bars, but if the show is very full, they still generate long lines! The Nokia is a great venue--good sound, a nice space, cool lobby, fun location in Times Square, and the overall design is very good. Plus the bathrooms are excellent--no long lines. My nits are the lines at the bars, and that 2,100 is an ambitious (but not dangerous) capacity for the venue. At or near capacity it can feel pretty packed.Hope you have a great show!
