For some (strange?) reason she reminds me in a way of Rosemary Clooney. Something about the mastery she exhibits with her phrasing and timing perhaps.

BTW, this album was released in '02 and is simply new to me. Also note, I've only been exposed to her R&B type efforts except for the radio play of that one hit song.
