  That's an eye-opening comment..... I personally think most of today's music has displayed a *lack* of talent..... Especially when compared to Zeppelin..... And I'm not a Zeppelin fan.

          Actually, what made me pull the trigger was the reviews on Amazon.... It's not easy to judge the music by the samples alone. It would be funny if I end up liking it.

          I follow through on a lot of recs. At least forty in the past year. But only a handful did anything for me. My favorite bands are not releasing anything until 2007....

              Hoobastank's "Every Man For Himself" is a nice CD!!!!!!

              Band reminds me a little of Foreigner....

              The only negative once again is sonics, but not nearly as bad as the two Yellowcard CDs.... Typical "hot" recording that is epidemic with a lot of recent releases.

              Maybe the best 2006 album I've heard so far. Not bad for "sarcastic!!"

              Meanwhile, I'm playing one of the Yellowcard CDs.... "Ocean Avenue".... This band actually has decent musicians.... All they need is a songwriter.... And a better recording engineer.... My biggest complaint about this CD is awful sonics.

  I put the downturn in music at the end of the 60s at the moment The New Yardbirds became Led Zeppellin.
  Not that it was all their fault, but from about then the expansive innovative music that people had been producing fro the previous mmmm 5 years became increasingly bombastic and just plain boring.
  Almost the next thing (in rock) worth listening to was the explosion of punk.
