Damn, now I need "natural causes repellent". So how does Keith defy all of this?I wasn't a fan, but they had some awfully cool album covers.

Like so many others, it was probably an overdose of "natural causes".

I encounter an unusual number of retired rockers and Hall of Famers. They always seem pretty damned normal to me. Some run futon stores. Some are wealthy enough to drink margaritas all day. Most are into health food, diving, the environment and staying out of sight. They buy groceries, they buy gas, they shop in stores. Many of these people are children of the 60's, so it comes as a surprise when children of the 70's die of natural causes. Oops, my mistake. The drugs took a wicked turn for the chemical in the 70's.

... he was rich enough to afford good quality drugs and that that had kept him alive.
Personally I think the difference was/is that in the 60s the person(s) who made and sold the drugs were the same people who took them whereas through the 70s it increasingly became a business with the consumer seperate from the manufacture and retail end.
The only confusion for me is why any drugs are illegal when the alternative would mean licenced retail premises, quality control and the reduction in crime resulting from drug habits as prices fall.
Of course that would undermine the huge budgets that police and military get for the "war on drugs" and the scaremongering politics of certain people and... it would pull the rug from under the criminal cartels who are behind much of the world trade.
It appears governments are not interested in a... "war on crime"...
