If you played guitar yourself, you'd know :-) Beck is considered by many to be the greatest guitarist ever, or second only to Hendrix. He has been the victim of terrible producers, the lack of a strong lead vocalist after Stewart, and the fact that he doesn't write his own songs.

  I believe Jimi claimed that Both Clapton & Beck were huge infuences on him as well as all those old blues guys. In the BBC interviews he says his favorite song for wha-wha gtr sound was "Tales of Brave Ulysses".
