My favorites are Elliot Smith and the Shins (although I thought Chutes was an '03 release). I would also add Modest Mouse without hesitation.

I didn't care much for Franz Ferdinand or Air...Kanye's good but I can only take hip hop in small doses. Smile is decent but not my cup of tea.

A couple others I might think about adding are Death Cab and Umphrey's McGee (jury's still out on these two).
