His name just keeps on coming up here and I am going to suggest we (or those interested) post a few tracks that show the breadth of his tastes.
As I am living in Australia, I'll post something from here...
The Triffids: The Seabirds, a track he actually told m he didn't believe he had never heard.

...each year I will start a thread for people to post music others may not have heard.
Jut a moment of thinking of Larry.
It's such a strange thing. I interacted with a person through typed words, yet came to know more about him than many people I' know in real life. We shared a love for folky Celtic music. I'm sure he would have loved this new music by Fionn Regan.

...and never had a moment's regret. A great version of a great song, one which LWR brought back into my stream of consciousness. As he and I opined, the song is a beautiful example of those who have experienced the agony of unrequited love.
Happy Birthday, LWR. RIP.

Larry turned me onto a lot of great music. WhiteHorse, the Atlantic sessions and Josienne Clarke. A couple of times I surprised him. This Pentangle cut was one of them

Larry seemed to either really like or totally dislike recordings. I was surprised he liked some of the electronic techno music. I remember discussing the Chemical Brothers with him after sending his one of their albums.
Certain musicians and styles had no chance (hair bands).
But his tastes ranged far and wide.
