Great story as always- Lummy
you attended some High School (all of that drama before the word became a cliche')? Picking up women at the Salon is not bad either ;)
Follow Ups:
I remember a woman playing this song over-&-over-&-over, while she was in the middle of a rocky relationship. Every time I hear the song, it reminds me of her & her crazy BF.
In 2007 or 8, I was at a store which carried Raidho loudspeakers. Customers and staff were grooving to Starpoint's "Object Of My Desire," Madness' "Our House," and yes, Naked Eyes' "Promises, Promises."
It just so happened that the Raidho rep was paying a visit to the store. Now, have you drawn those stereotypical sketches of Satan with a goatee? Nothing against the Raidho rep, but that's what he looked like. Moreover, he wore a tense, constipated expression as if it were that time of the month. He possessed a condescending, dismissive, and couldn't-be-bothered attitude. But what really got his panties is a bunch was observing everyone having fun with "Promises, Promises."
Which is too bad, because whichever Raidho speakers were playing were honest and accurate [system could have been BAT], not screwing up the music. Because of the rep's awful personality and unprofessional behavior, everyone lost interest in Raidho.
Name of store-Lummy?
