Have you seen the documentary? I thought the did a decent job with the rangeling to get a spot to perform before, and the events during.

I saw it years ago, so I don't remember it well. Selvin was pretty cynical about the movie and more so about Jagger's involvement. I've returned it to the library, so I can't check my memory, but it was an interesting book about a terrible event and its planning, or lack of.
Same for me. The concert was originally planned to be in a San Francisco park. That was turned down and they scrambled to find a alternative in the general vicinity. I think Melvin Belli was their attorney working the deals? Was Chip Monk involved? Don't remembered who hired the Angels. They call it the day that ended the love and peace movement.
