...concert I saw Sunday at the Ironstone Amphitheater in Murphy's took me right back to the 1970s.First was Lou Gramm, ex-lead singer for Foreigner (the band have the name with a new lead singer). His voice was about 80% and he looked puffy like he'd been drinking too much for a long time. Sounded good, though.
Then Bad Company with Paul Rogers, one of rock's most distinctive vocalists, and Mick Ralphs on lead guitar. Rogers sounded 100%, was slim and in shape liked he does 20mi on his bike daily. Ralphs (pictured with Rogers above him) played great. Simon Kirke on drums.

I have a 2008 DVD of Bad Company live. It rocks. This is one old codger band I would love to see live.
...Oklahoma and then Ireland and the UK.
I am too old to be chasing bands around the globe. They need to come to my town or screw them. Hehe
How he sounds as great as he STILL does is beyond me. I don't think it's just good luck or superior genes. Probably a combination of those things and a whole lotta self-care.
Gramm had that brain tumor, I think, years ago, and it definitely took its toll. Glad to hear he's still out there making music and sounding pretty good.
