...may have been Drew - he stepped out for a great solo toward the end on "Loan Me a Dime".

Sounds about right.
While Boz is a better than adequate guitarist himself, Drew is extraordinary.
I first saw DZ on the '93 Steely Dan tour and he more than rose to the occasion. He's underutilized with Boz but it's been a steady gig.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed the show!
Boz Scaggs & band closed 20th Annual World Fest inside Nevada County Fairgrounds Sun'nigh' July 17. 'Twas magical to hear him sing "... moonlight through the pines ..." on "Georgia" & witness same shining through N.C.F.'s forest. Last saw him 30 years ago, when he headlined Day On The Green #3(methinketh) when "Silk Degrees" ruled the charts (although Boz was head-liner, Santana closed out that afternoon's festivities). Background vocalist-n-percussionist Monet Owens got some centre-stage love too. Crowd got a break in the weather too after a roasty-toasty week. 73s para Sactown
