Thank you for all of your emails. You guys are right; 1986 did have a lot of variety of popular music. And adding to that mix was Poison's glam/pop rock, Look What The Cat Dragged In.Okay, I have to admit; I did not learn about this, until March 1987. I was a high school sophomore, which meant we guys loved kick-ass anthems. But sometimes, we needed the girls to kick out the jams. Enter Poison's "Cry Tough." Now I don't know if middle-aged audiophiles think that's a good thing, but hell freakin' yeah: having the girls join in the fun was the best. So what, if a few of the girls' arms, elbows, and L.A. Gear shoes whacked us. We'll take that, any time of day.
The original cassette, CD, and LP of Look What The Cat Dragged In all sound ratty. So pick your, um, poison. For a cleaner, more modern rendering of this short album, get the 2006 remastered CD.
Anyway, back in 86-87, CDs came in the so-called "long box," which were the perfect size, for your locker door. I do not have it, but my graduating class owns a slide, depicting me in front of my open locker. Look What The Cat Dragged In is on the locker door. At each reunion, when the slideshow is played, you'll see this slide.
Good Times,
-Lummy The Monster

I was correct about Guns N Roses, as well ;)
I jumped on this CD as soon as it was released!
Despite being catagorized as "pretty" I knew this band would go far!
I was correct.
