Contemplating purchase, to replace TWO P300s.
* What is the P10's power requirement (at idle) compared to the two P300s which I keep on all the time?
* Will the P10 likely accommodate two SET monoblocks (845 output tubes) along with a bunch of front end components? The SET amps are currently plugged into a Tice Power Block III.
* Both P300s are modified. Are they (or one of them) still trade-in candidates?
Thanksl, Dave

A guy on Audiogon gives $500 in trade for P-300's. Here is a link to his ad

Earl, those trade-in offers originated with PS Audio itself. I'm not availing myself, though, because (1) both my P300s have been modified and (2) I want the opportunity to try out the P10 for 30 days, as offered by Audio Advisor, and return it if I like my current set-up better (the two P300s and a Tice Power Block III.
Good to see you yesterday at Ribfest.
"What is the P10's power requirement (at idle) compared to the two P300s which I keep on all the time?"
This is just an educated guess, but it should use noticeably less power as it uses a fundamentally different design that's much more efficient. The difference in the design is also the reason you can't adjust the output frequency on the P10 like you can the P300.
It is quite a bit lower indeed. The P10 idles at a low 25 watts or below.
Hi David
I can answer your 2nd question. I have a P10 with my entire system plugged into it-
150 watt Tube amp, 600 watt SS amplifier/crossover, Preamp, CD, Turntable, and 2 electrostat speakers.
Previously I needed 2 Power Plant Premiers to power all of this. The P10 doesn't even break a sweat
And, it has been a major improvement in my system.
