Thanks for the quick reply and the offer to return the units, business Must be good.
I like the hammer finish paint and use it all the time, on the wood handles of my shovels and rakes. I'm just sad that it does not match my other silver PS Audio Equipment. The fit is another matter. With four different corners on each unit, you have a total of eight vertical edges where the pieces butt into each other. With my silver units it is real easy for me to see where there is a gap between the pieces and where the corners are not "straight, true,or shorter" then their adjoining pieces. I might be a PITA, but it is easy to see a 1/16 of an inch that is missing from a corner or where what appears to be a thin black line between them does not finish from top to bottom edge to edge. Maybe it got dropped on it's corner in shipping.
Now the good news: The Sound, First I replaced my transport with the PWT, Wow, i can't believe it can be so much better, (when only changing the transport) but it was very easy to hear the difference... then i put the DAC in line direct to my amps, double wow. Right out of the box, Great Sound. Thanks

Thanks! It's not that business is so great (it actually is, but that's not important) it is that we want you to be happy. Is the fit on both units bad or just one? It is true that on the silver units it is much easier to see any of the gaps but the people in our boulder facility that build these try to take extraordinary care to make these line up. If we failed at this, I want to make it right for you. maybe we can get you another that fits better?
Ok, my bad... After looking hard at my audio equipment over the weekend, let me state that The fit of the pwt & dac is as good or better then most of my other stuff. My Bad #2 The Silver finish, IS alot like the finish on the motor /flywheel unit of my VPI turntable, and the combo does go well with the silver front black top of my Rhea phono pre amp and the PS Audio 300 power plant. Sorry for being so -Loud-
Loud? Yep, the combo is so clean, that i can get more db's out of my speakers, because the source is SO clean. Jitter=distortion, Great Work you good people.
Thanks! Sometimes different isn't always accepted quickly but upon further reflection can show itself as something beautiful.
