I contacted PS audio but all they could send me was the Owners Manual.
I contacted two sellers who sell older Service Manuals online and on ebay as well but they didn't have them.
So any help would be appreciated as I have a fellow who will be doing the repair on this and he said either would be very helpful.
Thanks.

I have a complete PS Audio 5 pre amp in excellent condition I retired and would be willing to sell if you're interested. Just drop me a line at badferret@gmail.com
Can I answer any specific questions for you?
Hi Paul This is a preamp i had asked you about back in later February as it need the external power supply and you were very helpful. I was able to get one and get this to power on. I posted the problem it's having at the PS Audio web site. In the nut shell this pre is causing my amp to go into protection mode and I found a gentlemen who said he could fix this for me but he wanted to see if i could get a Service manual or at least a Schematic for him. Bottom line is I can't use this pre in any other mode but Straightwire.
Thanks.
This means the preamp stage has DC. Get a meter out and measure it. There are trimpots to adjust it - if it isn't too far off (less than 0.1 volts). If it's more than that, the preamp stage itself has a problem. Also, make sure your power supply rails are even (+/- the same).
Hello paul
I have the above preamp. And need to know which trimmers do what.
There isn't any service manual available unfortunately. In fact, I don't think we ever had one.
What are you trying to do?
