Instead of seeking to reject the null hypothesis which is logically all we can hope to do, DBT using same/different seeks to reject the original hypothesis that there are differences. Ones sample always has a probability of reflecting or not reflecting what is true in the population. The only way to reduce both type I and type II errors is to use a big sample. A sample of 2500 or even 1000 is never been used DBTs.

Nor are the blind test participants trying to claim their results apply to the general population.The only sample that really matters to you is what YOU hear listening to YOUR stereo. So go do some single-blind auditions and tell us what you really hear.
