Are these amps any good for home use?
Worried about the spekeron connectors at back.....
Also wondering if there is a sound difference between them.

If they're fan-cooled, that may be an issue. I've used a PV-8.5C which has a two-speed fan and found the fan noise was tolerable at low speed. In hot weather, or with particularly loud music or action movies it would rev up to full speed periodically. That was as a subwoofer amp.It could be worth looking at the cheap Behringer A500; some people have said nice things about it. And the discontinued Yorkville CR5 or SR300, which are also fanless.

I use an Alesis that is fanless. Not sure if their entire line is fanless. Lots of power and amperage for Maggies, good mids but slightly harsh hf.
Speakon is has much more surface contact then most connectors and
is made for higher currents and voltages
This is a superior connection and you can get monster cable
or you can use the speaker cable of your choice and put your own
speakon ends on one side and spades or bananna ends on the other for your amp connection
I decided to try out a QSC GX3.....Might try a Spekeron cable to see how it works.
