I am using Tributaries SCA-300 for interconnect. 2.5m runs.
Hip hop you ask? Kills it! Plays with absolute authority. Room shaking bass? Obviously not car audio excessive type- but solid, tight authoritive bass. Never even close to anemic sounding. The way it is supposed to sound. Under 60-80hz these need no help, which translates into most of "todays" music sounding full, rich, and overall excellent.
If you are going to throw them in a huge room than YMMV. I am 14x16 with sloped ceilings. I fell they could handle a larger room but have never tried.
Follow Ups:
I happened to get Quad 12L active pair yesterday. Awesome pair , very good price performance ratio.but they have 'nt given any manual giving specs etc. it seems they are really not serious about their studio range . mine was imported in dec,06 . Did u get any manual etc with the speakers . there is no booklet inside. How much burn time is required? What will be the changes after burn in?

I have a manual- two actually. I will send you one if you want. Just give me your email address and I will put it in the mail.
As for burn in- mine seemed to have smoothed out and opened up considerably. Your guess is as good as mine as to wether this is attributed to actual fundamental changes in the drviers/amplifiers or just my head getting used to them.

thanks
