Streamers have buffers that the music is streamed from, not from the cable itself. So if you are trying the futile journey of comparing sound of Ethernet Cables, understand what is going on.
If you pull the Ethernet cable from a streamer, the music will continue to play. Sometimes for minutes. The streamer is 'unloading its buffer to your DAC until it is exhausted. Then the buffer is 're-filled' with data from the Ethernet Cable. So, try this out and see how long your streamer plays.
Follow Ups:
Mine stopped playing immediately. It took a while to start playing when I put the cable back in. Then I realized duh it is a PoE device. :)
