you are better being hard wires, this computer I speak of is wireless, so you have to factor that in.the daphile linux system only works on x86 or x86-64 bit architecture. I've tried audirvana and it is the best one for mac. If you have a spare intel or amd PC check out daphile because that'll do the job.

no, I'm wireless. Even with gigabit wifi though DSD512 taxes the system. My guess it is something other than the wifi though.
I would check out daphile but I'm settled into what I have even though I know there are other things out there. I tried Roon once and didn't like it and went back to Audirvana and Volumio and never looked back. I just keep doing the minor upgrades like the pi4, or new cheap DACs.
It certainly is WiFi on my System... I have dropouts with 192 Khz material on my Wireless units located about 30 feet from my router. Never have dropout with Ethernet.. I also have Gigabit Internet.
Easy way to find out..... Just hook an Ethernet Cable to your Rpi and see if it correct the problem.
I'm good up to DxD, but I just tried DSD512 again, using Audirvana upsampling, and it mostly worked but there were still plenty of dropouts. The start of some songs would play and then stutter. If I stopped it long enough it would then play through, unless I used the Mac or iPhone for something else. Even typing into this forum would make it stutter. I'll stick with 128 as that seems to always work and sounds great anyway. There is no benefit to a higher rate if the source isn't at that high rate.
And I got an email from Audirvana with a coupon for a freebie from NativeDSD for an album recorded at DSD256. The only problem is the website doesn't want to work.
I think when I got into SACD I realized it was DSD 64. DSD 128 is great.
