Of course if you get a Boss DAC, you would not need a DIGIONE at all..... And the Kali Re-Clocker won't work with the Boss either. So which is it ? Do you get a Kali and a Piano? Does the Boss sound better than a Mamboberry with a Kali Re-clocker ......And so it goes........They don't seem to have a defined path for their products that I can see. So, I chose the Digione, as it let me keep my existing setup........I elected to keep my Teac DAC as it Runs my TV and sounds very good, as I have compared it very favorably to other Mega-Dollar DACs.....So, currently I have a very workable system that I am enjoying.
BTW - If you have a link to a Non "pretty basic network cable." ... I'd appreciate it. And no .... I am not interested in making one.

If you have that Teac it's OK to keep it. No question.
Your image didn't suggest that you have TV asf connected. If you need more then one input these PI HAT solution do have their limits.I had that Teac in for testing a while ago. Therefore I kind of know what I'm talking about.
You can run the Boss in slave mode btw. This way you can also use the Kali. Just to correct you on that one.
BUT. The difference is IMO not worth to use the Kali. The Boss works better with a separate PS. That would be my priority.And. Your solution is Digione+Teac using SPDIF. These kind of setups come with issues by definition. Obviously that's also valid for most USB DAC setups.
However. I do buy that your system sounds not bad at all. What I'm saying is that instead of buying a 100$ Digione and a TEAC, a Boss would have done at 60$+50$ for PS (that $50 PS invest might also be needed for the Digione). And that without comprising the soundexpierence very much if at all.
Enjoy.

Well, I was reading on their website that you cannot use the Kali.
From Allo Website.

SC knows best, the web site and the manufacturer are wrong.
NOT!!

CT, pay no attention to SC, he thinks his dollar store setup is the end-all be-all of audio.
Surely a company like Teac which has been in the audio business and pro audio business for over 63 years and a market cap of $14.6 Billion knows how to make a Dac.
The day you find a Allo product connected to a RPi in a professional recording studio is the day you might think about it as a serious Dac.

Look.
I had his Teac (and a lot more) at home for testing. It stayed exactly two days.
When it comes to Pro-Gear. I actually sold my RME Fireface UCX beginning of this year after having it for several years.
What should be different with these devices. The USB interfaces are as poor as any other, the power supplies are pretty basic, asf. My own ES9023 based HAT (Yep. I'm not just a software guy!) plays in a different league in comparison to that 1200$ device.
Let me know if you have any more nonsense arguments in the pocket!
Enjoy.
Okay one person with questionable hearing means what?
Out of the 7 billion people on Earth I could pull a few out of my pocket that prefer Bose.
