I didn't say that, but I installed Rune Audio today and got a free 2200mAh battery charger I found under my bed from some event I attended. I looked it up, could probably get about 2 hours of Rune Audio on battery time, will report back. I'm sure the battery sounds better as you said, I'll give it a whirl. Also got a low noise IFI power brick coming and a case too so I don't electrocute myself.
Follow Ups:
But you seemed ready to flush the whole thing down the toilet a day or two ago and go back to you beloved modified SONOS Connect.I guess I'm not that critical. What I am hearing now is SO far beyond the 'stock' SONOS Connect, at least for streaming TIDAL and QOBUZ, that it really doesn't compare. Thinking it's as good as my MacBook Air USB to Audio-GD DAC/Headphone amp, or close enough it doesn't matter and maybe better?
Maybe.
If I were playing rips and hi rez downloads, maybe that would deserve something better like Moodie?
Got another uSD card on the way. Should have bought a dozen for $50 when I had the chance.
Regards playing rips from a USB stick, is the one linked below 'overkill' and should I expect it to work and play music from the USB input to the Raspberry Pi, should I figure out how to load the right player software into it?
Link below:
I have the 64GB version and it works well with the wife's iMac. Only have a very few GB of music on it as yet. I've got some DVD-A (24/192) I bought from HDTT that I'd like to rip and hear what how they sound like on this thing.

my advice is just "fiddle", it is a fun project.
I'm charging up that battery power brick and will put on some "Time Machines" soon.
I hear you on the wanting to just settle down. Sometimes the endless fiddling does get old.
Time Machines. Checked it out on You Tube. Just when I thought I had heard it all. Alrighty then. Does it actually cause altered states? Is it any good for falling asleep to?
I've definitely had many temporal slips from listening to the album.
Running Rune Audio on a 2200mAh battery with hifi Berry Digi+ pro.
Sound is better, much better. Thanks for the insight.
Be great to hear your thoughts on sound quality when compared to Rune and the love of your life, the Wyred4Sound SONOS Connect. ;-)
I am settled on Rune 0.4 beta , I found my distro of choice.
I tried Moode 3.5, that might be better for you. Since you are using LMS and what Dynobot mentioned. AND you want streaming services. Also piCore player if you have that already, why break what is not broken if that works for you too.
Since I am fortunate to have the modded Sonos I am sticking with that for streaming services.
I am getting old and worn out from all this, plus I have mental problems (so they say), to each his own whatever floats your boat.
My advice to you all again is to fiddle, and if you are happy with the LMS setup AND you got that battery pack, stick with it. It just damn works for you.
It is amazing I have to say, it doesn't take much money to have a great sounding streamer, I think about what is it, $100 and a good DAC and some patience and time and you are good to go.
I just had Deja Vu, I dreamt this before, could be the Time Machines album I have on at the moment.
Guessing if I listened to drone music all day I'd have a few problems of my own.
On the plus side, cheapest one on Amazon is a used copy for $99.
Hoping you paid less and it's turned out to be a good investment?
I got it when it came out.
R.i.p. The two leading members are no longer on this earth.
Also I've paid I think $400+ for an out of print Grey Wolves album (noise music) some of these albums are limited to 100 copies.
Which one?
"Division"
there's one left on sale for $299.92 on Amazon.
but, sadly not your 'drone music'. :-(
