BRIO is a software application that runs on WIN and MAC PC. There is no other equipment required. Read more at www.orastream.com/brio

Thanks franktan. I did read it this morning. Still confused. Don't understand the 1000GB storage. Am I streaming from OraStream and storing those hi res albums in the cloud? Or am I uploading my music to cloud storage? Don't know why a person would do either of these. Haven't streamed before.
I do understand the file size varies depending on broadband speed. That is innovative.
Thanks
BRIO Desktop turns the PC into a music server that allows you to access music stored there remotely using a web browser on another PC. The (Cloud Plan) storage allows you to load up to 1,000 GB of music files to a cloud server rather than relying on your (home) PC as the server.
Here's a product brief from a beta-user's description: https://www.computeraudiophile.com/forums/topic/30922-brio-by-orastream/#comment-632095
Hope this helps clarify a bit more.
That helped franktan. I would never use a phone for music. Don't need to move owned music from 1 computer to another or to a different location. The computer used for music is in the stereo room.
What seems to be missing is how to stream new music. Article mentions Naxos. They are mostly classical music. Is OraStream going to stream their own music? If not, how do I get rock, country, blues, etc?
Thanks
In the home, users will already have a music library/player either in software, such as JRiver Media Centre or ROON, and hardware. Thus, if there is little utility (in the convenience) for access or control of the music library from another location, there will be less of a need for BRIO.
As stated in the release, OraStream will also power Xstream, Neil Young's streaming music service.
Thank you franktan. Understand now. There are 2 parts to Brio. Moving our owned music around, which is all Brio, and acquiring "new" music which requires Brio and Xstream.
Streaming "new" music requires Xstream. Is there a launch date for Xstream? Hope it is soon. Can't wait to try this.
Thanks again.
