Works fine, my drive is formatted as ext4. Not sure, what kind of issue were you running into (if any)?
Pretty neat system.
Follow Ups:
I had problems with this version switching from internet radio to spotify etc. every time I would change the source it would freeze up.I'm going to give it another shot, also it seems that Rune has another update which is only available from google drive as a download. At the time, just a few months ago, Rune did not support spotify. Although between the two [Volumio and Rune] I preferred Rune, however Rune's team is very disappointing. They seem extremely unresponsive to people who post on their forums, they can be rude and are very slow to make any sort of update. Their web site is completely out of date too.

The new version of Rune 0.4b brings it up to the level of recent versions of Volumio in terms of usability. Cannot comment on web radio as I have everything I want to hear in FLAC which beats any free internet radio stream in the world in terms of sound quality.
As far of their support/ development goes. The people on the team all have other jobs where they actually get paid. This is just a side project for them. We are lucky to have such great experts donating their time to give us such a great player for free.
True, I do agree...we are lucky to have people who donate their time for free like this...
I've asked the Rune people to find or let the people who donate tweaks and enhancements to take over. I used to post on their forum for a long time. They actually have a few very good coders on the forum who do have the time and knowledge to bring Rune up to active developement vs semi-hibernation.I've even offered to volunteer my time to help clean up their web site which is grossly out of date. My offer like the offers of others went on deaf ears.

Re: Any Information About A New Version?
Postby dynobot » 15 Dec 2016, 22:52Rune is a great product. It will be ashamed to let it fade away into obscurity. Perhaps active recruitment of someone who is willing [has the time] to take over the reigns?
There seems to be at least 2-3 very capable coders here who are not on the Rune team.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Fact is, Rune is not the only project that is being developed by people for free and by people who have days jobs. Its not the first Linux project that has faded away into a slow death either.
Daphile was a one man show, but he had the foresight to get other people involved when he could not spend the time to keep up the code.
The Rune people simply don't seem to give a shyt.
Case in Point: Last year I posted on the Volumio board about the 'glitches' and freezing up. The next day a 'fix' was in to be included with the next update.
I really like how Volumio has progressed. I've used it with my BBB but since it stopped being supported I purchased a RPi.
However Volumio seems to be just too full of glitches to be of any use, I tried with various Dacs and HATS, attached storage and NAS but it just freezes every time I get it to work and play. For example, I play one song from Spotify and try to switch to a Internet radio station, it freezes up and stops working. I reboot and play a track from my NAS and try to switch to another or add music or anything and it just freezes up.
I just chipped in with a donation to volumio, great software and perhaps the easiest I've used.
Great!!
The UI is great, connecting to hard drives etc is a breeze. In fact they did a great job at the whole setup process
I'm going through some of my previous steps to see if the same problems persist, seems that they have ironed out the glitches and everything is running smoothly.
Even though I don't use Volumio I'm going to follow your lead and make a donation. As much as we spend on 'crap' fixes like wire etc we can at least support the people on the front lines making it happen.
Where would we be without people these free developers.
