Got piCore ruining and playing my music through an iFi micro DSD DAC (thanks Double28), pretty sweet. Currently using Squeeze Control on an Android Tablet. Thanks Dynobot.Biggest difficulty was getting piCore and LMS to find each other.
Ive got four error messages from piCore player on the monitor connected to RPI. I'm not sure how/if to fix.
1 trying to mount device/sda1
2. Newconfig.config not found on sda1
3. Newconfig.cfg not found on mcblpl01
4. crond[719] time disparity of 248527222 detected
All help appreciated.
Can't wait to show my millennial step son who made an RPI Game Boy that the old man can still learn some new tricks :-)

Hi.
There are no critical messages - these are warnings. Nothing to worry about.
1. "/dev/sda1" is the device name of HDDs under Linux.
If there's non attached or configured the message shouldn't pop up.
Nothing to worry about.
4. The crond message (the cron deamon runs scheduled tasks)
and originates from a time mismatch between system time and
network time. Since there is no battery powered clock on
the PI, each time the PI boots, it uses ntp for setting the time.
If cron starts before ntp than there'll be the warning.
At boot ntp should be started before cron to avoid it.
Again. Nothing to worry about.
There a two support threads for PcP:

Try these.
Took Dynobot's advice and reformated microSDC and reflashed piCore. Still works the same but it does work. Thanks for the advice!
Can't get wifi to work but haven't played with it enough yet. I'll get it eventually.
Enjoying this little thing already. I know I'll build more :-)
yes it is great fun.
Since you can switch the systems out with SD cards, try Volumio as well as Rune Audio
Here's Volumio's web site:

cheers!
What did you use to flash picore to your sd card?
Also where is your LMS located? computer, laptop, other?
If LMS finding picore is your only problem you can manually set the LMS ip address in picore. I highlighted that in my video.
Suggest you re-flash picore using etcher.
Suggest you put LMS on a computer -or- install it on the picoreplayer RPi
Etcher!SD Card was formatted fresh with win32disk manager using the option to use all the space on the card.
LMS is on a desktop with a static IP address. pIcore sees it fine after
I manually set its IP address in piCore
