When in doubt reboot or power cycle everything. ;-)
Be sure other applications and unneeded services on the computer are disabled. I've run AV+ for years w/o issue but I'm not on macOS Sierra, yet. Otherwise, I would have offered to try it out on my setup.
I usually try to stay several months behind on any new OS to not only allow the OS maker to clean up bugs over time, but to let the software developers like Audirvana catch up and debug their own code on the new OS.
I'm still on Mac OS X "Mavericks" 10.11.6 for my Mac Mini audio setup. Wife is running the latest macOS Sierra on her laptop with no issues except for learning new features, but she doesn't run any audio apps.
Follow Ups:
but didn't try unplugging., which I should have done.
I only have the usb or firewire cable connected, the usb to the one with nothing else on it.
Wi-Fi is off, and usually Ehernet cable is disconnected too.
All other players continued working fine.
Then, boom, AV+ was fine again. Maybe the Mac auto- magically cleared out whatever was causing the crashes.
BTW, how do I copy a Crash Log to send to Damien, if it happens again?
I made a few Screen Shots, but the Log is very long.
Thanks for your response!
Did you already figure this out with the folks from AV ?
