I have a bunch of ALAC (m4a) files that I would like to convert to FLAC or WAV. Does anyone have an application suggestion for batch conversion? Bonus points if it's a free version.
Thanks
E.

Looks like XLD is Mac only. My use would be for Windows.

Sorry for the spelling error...Late night post.
Zamzar is free and works well
foobar2000.org is free, does fine. You put all of the files you want to convert in its window, select them all, right click and choose convert, then adjust the convert settings as you like.
Thanks, I'll check that out. I don't think I'll need it long term, so free would be nice.

I use dbpoweramp's batch converter ( see link). Really excellent but not free. On the other hand there is a 21 day free trial.
My conversion job should be a one and done, so the trial period should suffice. I've always heard that dbpoweramp is really good, so it might turn out to be a keeper. Thanks.
