I thought that the Schiit equipment was a bargain, and I think it still is, but now it looks as though it has competition.

PS Audio is older than Schitt! Really.
I think they've been around since the 1970's but my first experience with PS Audio was in the 1990's when I bought the P300 Power Plant AC regenerator that I still have in my system. I also had two of their HCA-2 Class D amps (early high gain and later lower gain version) and the PCA-2 preamp. I still own the PS Audio GCPH phono and NuWave DSD DAC. I previously owned the NuWave (non-DSD) DAC.
In addition to their high-end gear like the DirectStream and DirectStream Jr DACs, they've always had a more affordable line, but not quite as entry level as Schiit.
I still have a PS Audio 4.6 preamp bought around 1988. Still works but I don't have a current use for it.
