Hello All- Yes I have done a search...Looking for NON DIY suggestions on a budget streamer without a doc that can do TIDAL. Ive tried the Chromecast audio with a few dacs and frankly and without getting into a debate it sounds like #$%%$#
So whats the next step up without a dac? -
Aries Mini- looks solid but seems your paying for a doc as well
Bluesound?thanks in advance

I keep recommending the Denon HEOS link, it sounds good and plays many different streaming services, including TIDAL. You can use one of the digital outputs to drive an outboard DAC, but the built-in DAC is pretty good.
A lot of them available on Ebay for less than $100. Yes they contain DACS, but you can also output streams to another DAC. SQ will be better than a Chromecast. Not quite as plug and play as a Chromecast, but not DIY either. There is a large installed base, and a large support community.
Haven't heard one but it got a good review.Jeff

Bluesound Node 2? I use one of the original Nodes... been pretty good, but I use an external DAC usually...
