lakes can throw out Bynum, Odom, Fisher, Gasol, Artest and this guy called Bryant, just too tough of a lineup for our Mavs to prevail against. Altho I'll be sitting right by Mark Cuban for either game 2 or 3 rootin em on!
Lakers in 6

I think Memphis or OKC can give them fits, though.
Remember, last year, OKC took them 7.
The series I'm most interested in this week is Miam/Boston. I hope Shaq can play.
and it was the first round and the Lakers weren't warmed up yet (kind of like what just happened against NO).

two square feet, or so.
...maybe we are getting back in sync.
:D
most dominant player of his generation, period. Who else even bares mention at his position? Now look at Michael Jordan. Kobe may surpass his stats. Then there's Melo, LeBron, and Durant who are heirs apparent. NO big man has dominated the way Shaq has for the past several decades. And he's won with two different teams. A hurt Shaq still hurts you. A healthy one crushes you.
A truly dedicated Shaq would have won 6 titles with Kobe. Which was KB's only real beef with him.
So many of his injury problems the last 5 years or so are because he didn't work on his fitness or work out in the off season. Too big of a body to take the pounding of running and jumping with so much extra fat.
Stupidity is NOT a victimless crime.
over 22 points/game. You believe what Kobe says? It's bullshit to say what could have been---- what IS is quite simply the greatest basketball player of his era. Period. There already is a guy who may surpass Jordan. Kobe is on track. NO one is going to dominate the way Shaq has. Going on two decades of total dominance when he's on the floor.
Next, you're going to complain about his free-throw shooting. Get over it. His combination of power, speed, coordination, agility, and shot-making may never even be approached again. Certainly, there is NO one near his size today with his skills. Just about anyone approaching it is a lummox.
and hasn't "dominated" for about 10 years. He was schooled by Olajuwan when he was young and he never had another shot other than "dunk"......if you were to count all the times he travelled, he probably has about 500 points in his career.
The other night , I watched an NBA game and properly officiated the game with a friend...watching for walks, travels, illegal pivots, carrying, palming and the score wound up 36-29.
somewhere along the line, the refs started letting this shit go and now its sickening.
Michael Jordan was the worst offender.
that makes him such a winner.

The Mavs killed PDX on the boards. They will be a good match for LA IMO. Bynum is showing good progress as a player. Last year he was just a big body and Odem did most the work. It should be a war around the basket.
Now, what about Miami and Boston?
Celtics may be aging, no? But Miami isn't a team, yet. This is one interesting match up. I don't think either looks particularly good enough to beat the Lakers who seem to add to their roster every season just enough new blood to carry them over the top. I hate 'em, but I acknowledge greatness when I see it. Coaching and front office of the Lakers are just the best, period.
