Does anyone recomend a Patty Griffn CD to start with...I heard a few clips of her songs off the internet, and I think she sounds awsome!!!!
Follow Ups:
"1000 Kisses" is a good start... sort of sits between her 1st "Living with Ghosts" - closer to - (acoustic guitar solo) and "Flaming Red" (rock oriented).Just a great song writer no matter what style. Your preference will depend on your predilection (you can't lose w/Patty)

You have a real choice. My favorite is Flaming Red, which just gets better and better with every listen. Her newest, 1000 kisses, seems like a letdown from the high energy red. But, after repeated listening, it is better, just a different genre. Where flaming red rocked the house on several cuts, 1000 kisses puts it to sleep. Living with Ghosts is an awesome album as well. A little bit of both, basically a really honest sounding album. At the end of the day though, i would still pick Flaming Red.
The promo for "Silver Bell" used to be available with some regularity.
There are some other 4 track EP's with some live tracks that you might find interesting.Bruce
While I love everything she has done, I'd recommend the latest "1000 Kisses" on her new label, ATO. A&M, her former label, did Patty wrong with "Silver Bell,"
her ill-fated next-to-last CD which was recorded but never released.Bruce
There are three samples on the ATO site.
