Anyone hear her? I thought it was refreshing to hear her in her old element--quartet with guitar, bass and drums. Guitar and drums took solos; Piano trading 4's with the rhythm section; upbeat approach to one of her old ones (I Don't Know Enough about You). No string section, soft-focus or designer gowns, just straight ahead jazz. Do you suppose she's been reading this board?

... definitively not the "Look of Love". Hair messed up, leather, jeans... and she actually _played_ the piano. How refreshing!The guitar and bass players are the same guys that played on her DVD (which is nice). Great musicians!

I caught that. I was shopping at Tower Records in New York last month when she was signing CDs. I didn't know she was, so I checked out the new album at a listening station. I didn't like it. But the Jay Leno performance got me smilin'. Which of her albums are more like that?

I did not see her last night but I sure hope she's been reading this. She is barely playing the piano on her last recording. I must admit the DVD is good. However, she is playing with a great group of musicians but some are under utilized.Hope she does more playing on her next recording.
