Milt Jackson of MJQ played vibraphone not xylophone (well maybe he played xylophone solo but definitely not with MJQ).
Plenty of info on vibes is at http://www.thevibe.net/ - probably some of the players listed there also play xylophone, why not?
BS64's question puzzled me too, I know a few vibe players and a few marimba players (and at college dorm I lived one floor above two percussionist students :) ) - interesting, I searched a few places and all they have on xylophone is a handful of ethnic recordings.
