George Duning was the composer/arranger for the film.
Three versions of "Moonglow/Picnic" top-10-charted in 1955: The Stoloff, the George Cates Orchestra and the McGuire Sisters.
The song "Moonglow" is from 1933 written by Hudson/Mills/DeLange.
Follow Ups:
Hi Tom,
Thank you...-I knew of the other versions, but I like Morris Stoloff's version the best.
The other versions are also very good too!!
I just played it again last night!
I've probably owned the "Picnic" soundtrack LP album for 50 years. Found it in a cutout bin.
In 1955 it was a #2 best seller. I certainly remember the radio play it got "back in the day."
