Stravinsky's music-line roller
Follow Ups:
I have one of the books with Robert Craft.
Maybe it has the picture of Stravinsky seated at a table making score paper.
I could have got Bart Simpson and Stravinsky mixed up...
Bart had a chalk holder that held 5 pieces of chalk to speed up his blackboard assignments.
Bart's Rite of Spring isn't really that good...
I think I read somewhere that it was a *portable* version. Apparently they came in different sizes and kept one always in his pocket.
You can see Robert Craft using it in this youtube video.
Well, I don't have that photo in my book.
It doesn't make sense that he would use pencils for a score tho, now that I think about it....
Thanks for the Link!
Possibly unlike Stravinsky and other greats, I make mistakes and/or change my mind.
wish I could find that photo I saw, but it was years ago.
Good Research!
Some of the online photos showed some Very wobbly staves...
along with a large eraser!
