24/96 download (maybe).
Can play it using VLC but my DAC does not display sample rate so I have no idea what's coming out of the USB port.
Sounds pretty primitive and I see no reason for selling it as a 24/96 file except to make money.
As the 'hm' silver disk is 'remastered', or so I recall reading somewhere, it may end up being the better choice.
Follow Ups:
on Lp at least. Had it all: large soundstage, very good, even resounding bass, uncongested climaxes. Maybe accidentally MP3? Or crappy remaster?
IMHO most mono gains a little bit more in warmth and liquidity at high sampling rates.
(Logitech Media Server) to a Raspberry Pi player then into my DAC/Headphone Amp.Understand the appeal. Adler 'gets' Mahler. Or at least he knows how present Mahler so that WE get Mahler!
Logitech Media Server sees it as follows:
Album Artist: Frederick Charles Adler
Composer: Gustav Mahler
Track Artist: Frederick Charles Adler, Performer, Conductor - Orchesterverein der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde, Performer, Orchestra - Gustav Mahler, Composer
Album: Frederick Charles Adler, Orchesterverein der Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde, Hildegard Rössel-Majdan : Mahler: Symphonie No. 3 (Mono Version)
Genre: Classique
Year: 1961

Just got the 'hm France' CD today as well.

So you get a stick with BOTH if I can figure this computer stuff out.
Good news here is that I THINK I figured out how to download music and especially from QOBUZ which, at the current exchange rate is pretty cheap.
This was 6 Euros! Right in my price range! Paid over twice that for the double CD after shipping.
Can't wait. Actually, the original Apple Lossless file moved to a stick would be awesome. My Sony accepts it, without having to convert to FLAC, etc. Gotta keep those bits pure! : )
I may try to use Tor as a search engine, as there's way too many goodies on QoBuz, especially from Sony. Great prices too.
I can hear the groove noise in the backgrond.
AND...
Because I'm a vinyl guy, I like it better that the 'hm France' 2CD set. ;-)
You'll get both on a stick in exchange for a FULL REPORT.

Once you are in their system, it doesn't matter where you are as long as your log in is valid.
I gave them an address in France and I pay via PayPal by Euros.
Don;t recall how I got in, do know I upgraded while in France but that was years ago. They used to offer a 'classics' only streaming service for about $10 Euros a month. Once the Euro crumbled I went for the whole package at $20 Euros or so.
The files I have are coded at .m4a which claims to be 'Apple MPEG4-audio'. For some reason, LMS has no problem decoding and playing it, nor does VLC.
Going to be over 80 deg. by noon today on the Peninsula where we bike. See you later this week if I survive. =:-0
