Chris will have to let us know if the French guy can play, but I'm streaming it on QOBUZ and the Grieg with Ormandy on the podium and it sounds good to me.
That said, I'm not sure this is a recent re-master and it sounds a tiny bit distant?
Follow Ups:
Is it possible he recorded it twice? The one I had was mono only and had Pictures at an Exhibition (piano original) on the other side. I loved it. But over the years, I began to admire Entremont's playing a bit less - it seemed just a bit less finished and less exciting to me than that of his contemporaries (Janis, maybe Graffman, others). I must say that I've actually NOT heard most of Entremont's recordings, and I barely know his work as a conductor at all. So maybe YOU should tell ME how it all sounds! ;-)
Backed by the Lizst #1. Loved it and played it to death. Actually, this was the very first classical record I acquired on my own, followed shortly by a set of Beethoven symphonies. Long gone from my collection, since I beat it to death (as I did with the Bernstein Beethoven set) - for sentimental reasons I'd love to fine a good copy.
