Attended a concert of the San Antonio Symphony last night Mozart piano concertos #19 and #23 were performed and conducted by Jeremy Denk. Not a big fan of these concertos but really enjoyed these performances. First time hearing Mr. Denk but he is very talented. There are a few albums of his on Tidal including a wonderful Goldberg. Are any of you familiar with Denk and if so what do you think?

on the above CD with SFO and MTT?
Will have to give it a listen later today.
Heard him play the Beethoven Piano Concerto #5 in San Diego about a year ago. Such seemingly effortless musicality. I don't think I've ever been so emotionally moved by a musical performance. Truly wonderful.
I like all of his records. Also, there are live performances he did for the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum podcast a while ago. And I heard him give an excellent performance of Bartok 3 with the Cleveland Orchestra.
He used to have a well-written, thoughtful blog that he stopped writing in 2013.

I got to talk to him at the concert. He is writing an opera.
