Good old Blomstedt. Saw him do Mahler's 2nd and 8th back in the day.
Clean lines.
Follow Ups:
I remember a few years ago when I made it a point to see him conduct and thinking "He's getting up there in years, this might be the last time I get to see him conduct."
Now I'm thinking: "I'm getting up there in years, this may be the last time I get to see him conduct." :-(
I'm having a bout of ringing in one ear. It so better go away.
an A, two octaves above the staff, gets louder as music gets louder....
Hope it's not the big T.
Give it a few days. If it doesn't go away, see an ear, nose, throat MD. Often it goes away by itself or they put you on Prednisolone for a few weeks. I advise you to keep the music down to a minimum or not at all for a while. Your ears need a rest. Maybe you should go back to vinyl? (Kidding). Chances are it'll resolve.

Thanks, I'm giving music a rest, and watching the OJ Simpson story on Netflix to pass time. Seeing John Travolta playing Robert Shapiro gave me the laugh I needed.
Tried music this morning but couldn't concentrate.
Life could be worse!
LOTS of tympani in Beethoven's 9th. ;-)
Timpani are for girlie-men, what about the bass drum? : )
It go BOOOOOOM!
but Beethoven's 9th is basically a concerto for tympani and large choir. =:-0
