was it Szell or Reiner who recorded "Das Mer" (according to the musicians??
Edits: 01/28/17Follow Ups:
It was Szell who recorded "Das Meer," but I like the performance.
It was paired with Daphnes Suite #2 on the Epic ( or was it Columbia?) LP I had in college.
The most wonderful Daphnes ever! Marc Livshay and Robert Marcellus in their Prime.
Wore out that side, never listened more than once or twice to LaMer.
There was a 1970s Odyssey reissue of that, including a surprisingly good cassette version. I'm thinking that Pavane for a Dead Princess fills out the second side, but I could be wrong.
Excellent performances and decent recording.
