Steinway has closed down its classical-only streaming service.
Which is a real shame, because it was the only service with an interface designed for deep-catalog classical music retrieval.
You could start on the home page, select Beethoven, get a Beethoven gateway page with a list of his most popular works in the left margin, each work with a recommended recording.
However, if you clicked on the name of the work rather than on the recommended recording, you got a list of all the recordings of that work in the system (admittedly, some were duplicates in that the same work might be both a single CD and part of a boxed set).
For Beethoven's violin concerto, there were more than 50 options, starting chronologically with Fritz Kreisler's acoustical 78 rpm recording.
A real shame.

Follow Ups:
Shutting down everything except the labels they OWN, (NAXOS). That's about 75% or so of the prior content, with some of it Hi Rez streaming (higher than 16/44.1).
Real loss there!
Plus, QOBUZ is struggling to raise funds and TIDAL not doing near as well as it would like, we may be back to mp3 or some other awful 320kbps format soon. :-(
Holding up that multi-kilo-buck headphone purchase till the dust settles.
" QOBUZ is struggling to raise funds".Again? That's where we were this time last year. Have you a link that I could follow up on as Google doesn't show anything of this nature except for last year's Chapter 11 equivalent in France.
I was just about to subscribe! Having heard a proper demo last week on decent equipment at a friend's house I was rather impressed. Friend works dealing in licensing matters for one of the majors . In regard to hi-rez streaming his view is " enjoy it while you can". Realistic view? It's beginning to look like that.

I have been at times pleasantly surprised by the classical offerings in Tidal; it's just that the interface is so ugly.

per search.
Search for 'Neville Marriner' now returns nearly 100 albums.
App I use used to limit to about 30 albums per search, even when you entered 'Beethoven'!
