There has been much discussion of this topic over in Vinyl. Overall, The 200 gram pressings seem to be seriously flawed. Do a search on the topic in Vinyl for lots more info.

Just to add my 2 cents, I quit buying the Classic series stuff, I had problems with every disc I bought
I am a little bit sad about. I own so many of them, I am a buyer from the biginning and the "old" ones are perfect, absolutely perfect.
But in the last 2 years it was more or less frustrating and I stopped buying CR completely ( for example: I bought Doc Watson from Vanguard twice, Music super, Pressing has lots of noises and so on ....). And I guess, no change to the old Performance?
Right now I'm listening to Classic's fine 200g pressing of "Kind of Blue"-- except for a few awful crackles & odd farts during "So What"-- perhaps the best of many reissues of this seminal album. "So What" sort of sums things up. Sometimes with vinyl you just gotta listen through the noise.
