Soooo....finally, after all those times I've been flummoxed I get a few right, and you demean my keen, incisive answers by commenting on how easy this batch was :-)Actually, I'm pretty familiar with this period in Jazz. But hopefully some who aren't hip to these recordings will be inspired to get 'em. That first one still eludes me.
SHIT-That was not my intent at all - sorry!! My intent was to put some stuff up from LPs that I think are really, really good without trying to be "tricky".

Hey that was really good stuff !!Looks like you were going for a Duke Pearson theme in this set -- really like his writing and playing. Is he the pianist on #3 too ?
But, no -- it's not him on #3 or #1

They were tunes that you personally liked and considered some of your favorites. I can handle the blame because I am Teflon Barry. They were all pretty nice and you showed great taste. Now we can get the next batch on sooner.I'll probably put some things on and tell you all who they are, one reason being that a couple are pretty new and nobody knows that they exist yet. Another reason would be that they might be not really be jazz things but a couple that I find musically interesting, like a singer-songwriter, a term which I hate.
