  Is anybody going to see this down here? This site for Japanese imports was pointed out on rec.music.classical.recordings. They have a premium on discs, but it is much less than musicselection.com (about $4 for the RCA Ormandy items vs. $10), and shipping is free (I had to pay California tax because that is where they ship from.) The downside is that their search form requires input in Japanese. However, I was able to find what I wanted by cutting and pasting the catalog number from the hmv.jp site.

  Looking at that again, the before-shipping HMV prices are reasonable, e.g. the Ormandy Alexander Nevsky CD is ¥1500, which comes out to $US13.74, but the musicselection price is $US24.30.

      I'll try to remember to report on the sound when I get the Japanese RCA Ormandy CDS I ordered (Ilya Murometz, Alexander Nevsky, and the Penderecki CD), but I no longer have the LPs to compare (I only ever had the Nevsky). I do believe the orignal LPs were decent pressings, not dynaflops.
