Going to audtion the MMG's next week....wondering about my receiver and if it will be ok for the MMG's..
it's a Sony STR-D965
Specs say:
Amplifier: Power output: 8 ohms 110w+110w
Dynamic power output: 160w+160w (8 ohms)
" " " : 225w+225w(4 ohms)
Would someone explain these specs and tell me if this receiver will be ok for MMG's?

This receiver won't let you get the full potential out of your speakers, but its in line with the MMG's budget price, and should work well.

It's an older ES line (Sonys top) STR-DA30ES. It's manual claims 70 watts per channel in 4 ohms but it is lying out it's staples. Much more modest power there. And great sound for the money.
