First post here. Does anyone have experience upgrading the Magnepan 20.7 crossover? I've searched but no joy. Thank you.
Follow Ups:
I found the best choice is to bypass the main crossover and biamp with a good electronic crossover and a more refined amp for the top end. If you are an analogue listener, use an analog crossover. Pass produce a great crossover. There are Bryston 10B and Marchand make great analog crossovers to order at a reasonable price.
If you are a digital only guy then use a digital XO (e.g. DEQX) and use it to do room correction while its at it.
The removal of bass demands from the top end amplifier provides for much better performance than could be had from running the amp full range with the passive crossover. The large passive components in the low crossover are very expensive to upgrade to better performing ones.
