The set up "sounds" wonderful.

I'm using MC-1s as well as my rears. I'm even using one as a center. Sounds great.
I used the MC1 for side surrounds for a few years. they developed a problem in the bass so I sent them to Magnepan and discussed options with Mick. We didn't definitely figure out what was going on but as an experiment he rewired them with foil like an LRS and dropped the impedance to 3ohms. They sounded really good ... but there was still some sort of bass issue where the diaphragm would sometimes slap. So that's when I decided to use the LRS for side surrounds. I put the MC1 in the bedroom where it works great with a small sub.
Maggies definitely work well in a multichannel setup and especially with 5.1 and Atmos music!
