Lovely, congrats! I pick up my first pair tomorrow! On consignment at my local record store. I listened to verify that there is nothing obvious wrong with them, but otherwise, I couldn't tell anything about how they will ultimately sound due to the location. I'm taking a chance because he made me an offer that I could not refuse. They have been serviced, though by whom I don't know. Stands included. Cosmetically good. Fingers crossed!

Beautiful-looking system!
A few questions.... Have these been worked on by any of the Quad restorers? are you using some subs with them? What are your other components?
Many thanks!
Wayne Picquet did what he used to call 'the full monty' on these. They're perfect in looks and sound.
Mofi Ultradeck into a Sutherland phono into a Hegel H190.
I do have a Dynaudio sub, works surprisingly well. I'm carefull to not turn it up too loud.

I was actually visiting Wayne when he was working on your speakers. I helped him with your pair and several others. As I recall the summer of 2012?
That sounds right.
I wanted to start with a pair that was pretty clean, took a long time to find them. Glad I was patient.

Yes that is what I tell everyone looking for a pair. Cosmetics, condition of the screen is what matters. Everything else can be rebuilt, replaced and made new but there is only so much that can be done with the screens.
Wayne did all the panel, rebuild work on your pair I put them together.
Beautiful speakers! You have impeccable taste!
Here's my Electrostatic Solutions pair.
This is a beautiful setup to see! Congratualtions! I find it particularly heartening to see the inmates' systems that involve the original ESLs. I think they are quite lovely objects and you have incorporated yours into a visually engaging setting.
I have a pair, and I just love their sound.
Thanks George.
I've been at this hobby for 40 + years. First heard Quads sometime around 1984 at HiFi Haven in New Brunswick NJ. Lusted after them ever since. Been through all kinds of planars and then high efficiency single drivers with SET's until I was finally able to score this pair about 1.5 years ago. Never had more fun!
I like that your cabinet wood is a match.

Very nice, my late friend had some stacked 57's best detail I have ever heard!
